I was recently offered a chance to review a new cleaning product for pet owners and I jumped at the chance. With two little pugs, chances of having a mess on the floor, couch, bed or car to clean up is pretty darn good.
When I first received it, I kind of felt bad because I didn't have the opportunity to use the product and therefore, write a review on it. The marketing people kept sending me little pokes "hope we didn't miss it..." but I couldn't write anything until I had a chance to really test the product out. Well, two weeks ago - that certainly changed.
They sent me the Clean+Green Carpet and Upholstery for Dogs.Here is what their website says about it:

The first time I got to use it was when MeiMei threw up. I thought that there was good coverage of the area I needed to spray and unlike most times when the dogs can smell their "accidents" in the carpet, even after we used an "odor-eliminator", there didn't seem to be any after-smell that the dogs could catch of whif of.
The days following that first test, I got to use it a lot more. Both dogs got sick and Miko also started randomly peeing in the house (we got her urine checked, no infection - some crystals but mostly it seems it was all behavioural) so there were quite a few times when I could test it out. But the real comparison was when Jerry used our "old" cleaner on a puke spot and I noticed that the dogs kept going back to the spot and could obviously tell that "someone" had gotten sick there. The overall impression of the product was that it was gentle (didn't stain the carpet), eliminated odor and was easy to use. There wasn't any residue left over and you really didn't need to use a lot of it to clean it up right.
Another test came a few days after the puking had stopped. We had bought them girls some Antler treats to chew on and sometimes they can get a little bloody. MeiMei had chose to NOT chew hers on the rug we have on the floor for this purpose, but wanted to chew it on the carpet and there was a big, fresh blood stain in the middle of the hallway! So I tried the CLEAN+GREEN carpet cleaner on the blood and WHAMO - like it was never even there!
So, my over all impression - I like it!! I even hope to start carrying it at the Pawhaus soon!

When you have Yorkies, Westies, or any doggies, you have alot of extra things too. Pet stains go with pet ownership, you learn to live with that spot or spots. Eventually, you get to cleaning the spots, now you can also use a cleaner that is "Green" and non-toxic.
On their webpage they state that "Clean+Green" is the only eco-friendly aerosol pet odor remover and pet stain product on the planet. And that they offer a line of "Green" cleaning supplies to remove stains, eliminate odors and help with pet accidents.
We decided to help save our world and our carpet and give their products a try. Trying to be a environmentally freindly home is all of our responsibility, we owe it to ourselves, our kids and our pets.So we looked over their website and read all about what goes into their products, or should I say what doesn't go into their products. We were really impressed with the wide variety of products they offer. We decided to pick out a few for us to us and a few for our family and friends.
We picked out the Clean+Green - Auto Cleaner and the Clean+Green Carpet & Upholstery Stain Remover for us to try and use. We have had Yorkies for almost 20 years, and with Yorkies comes a problem...bitty bladders. They try to be good dogs, hold it til they go out. But they will make a mistake every now and then.
The carpet below had a few spots that our Yorkies had left us...gifts we could do without. We read the can, took aim and quickly was impressed with the results. It did a really great job and wasn't smelly, didn't leave any spots or fade the carpet.
Now we aren't a totally "Green" house, we hopefully will be taking more steps to help our world, our lives and our family, friends and pets. Living "Green" you have to learn what to use and what not to use. A life lesson that helps save our world and our health be less toxic.
We also got a few extra cans of Clean+Green to give to some of our family who had a skunk problem awhile back and had a mess to clean up. The other Clean+Green product is for a neighbor who helps out in a animal rescue organization and has used the product Clean+Green - Litter Box before. She said she really loved it and was thankful we had thought of her.

Luna and I were recently invited to participate in a product review by the company CLEAN+GREEN, along with hosting a give-a-way on our blog.

For this review I was allowed to select one of the many CLEAN+GREEN products, so I chose the one that seemed most applicable to our canine environment - Furniture Refresher for Dogs! This product is advertised to clean and permanently remove stains and dog odors on fabric, upholstery and dog beds.

I think Luna was happy to have her chair back.
I thought the product worked very nicely, especially on our leather furniture. The product is odor-free, so it took a little getting used to using a cleaning product that didn’t have a strong smell to it. The cleaner did its job well; it cleaned the furniture and removed the ‘Luna’ odors from the house.

If you’ve got dogs, you’ve probably had some “accidents” in the house (that is, unless you live with a perfect dog who never gets sick).
I however, don’t live with dogs who are perfect and never get sick. They’re good, but accidents happen. And with white carpeting in some rooms, at times it isn’t pretty.
I was really excited when Clean+Green contacted me about taking a look at their eco-friendly stain and odor remover for pets. The stuff I was using was heavily fragranced, and I always hated pulling it out because I knew it couldn’t be good for me. If Clean+Green actually worked, I was going to be a lifelong convert.
How’d it do?
I’m now a lifelong convert.
Clean+Green Pet Cleaner
When I first read the packaging, I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. Why? Because it said on there that you don’t have to scrub. At all.
All you do is just spray it on, and let it dissolve.
Yeah, right, I’m thinking. Like that’s REALLY going to work.
This next part is where I eat my words.
I waited almost two weeks for an accident to occur. Finally, thanks to my dog Gunther, the big day arrived. Pee on the curtain and carpet. Overnight.

I whipped out the Clean+Green, shook it up, sprayed it down, and walked away. I seriously didn’t think it was going to work. After all, the pee had been sitting there all night. On my white carpeting. Good luck.
When I went back a few hours later, I couldn’t believe what I was not seeing. The stain was gone. The smell was gone.
Like it never happened.
I’ve also now used it with a wine stain (worked like a charm) and two other pee stains (again, worked like a charm). In the spirit of full disclosure, I admit I haven’t used it on a BIG stain, like a poo stain. So, I can’t attest how it’s going to work with that.
But wine and pee, so far, have scored 100%. And, there is no scrubbing involved.
Why It’s Eco-Friendly
The cool thing about Clean+Green cleaners is that they’re all based on sugar cane and other natural ingredients. I would have liked to have seen a full list of what’s in there, but as it’s proprietary they don’t post it on their site.
It’s also safe to use because it’s non-carcinogenic, non-corrosive, non-toxic, and non-flammable. The cans, which are aerosol, are propelled by nitrogen, which occurs naturally in our atmosphere and is the safest way to propel liquids. And, you can recycle the container when it’s done.
Last Word…
I have to admit, I’m really impressed with this stuff. I’m amazed that it works without any scrubbing on my part. And, it doesn’t laden down the house with stuffy artificial fragrance.
My only complaint is that we can’t see everything that’s in the product itself. The list, taken from the Clean+Green site, is:

Proprietary blend of botanical extracts
Hydrated cellulose (cleaning agents)
Purified water
Nitrogen
I’d love to know what botanical extracts they’re using. But, I guess I’ll have to keep on being curious.

Normally, when I have some sort of pet related mess to clean up, I douse the stain with a spray of chemically-aerosolized-yuck and pray for the best. After the last incident with a heavily scented carpet powder that induced a near case of asthma in my husband, I’ve been banned from perfumed cleaning products in the house. It’s for the best, really.
The Clean + Green line is a great choice, with all-natural ingredients that are non-scented, pet (and kid) safe, and biodegradable. The propellant is also environmentally-friendly with no CFCs. Even the can is recyclable.
I have to brag a moment- both Brody and Koa are very reliably housetrained. I looked high and low for a stain to try this out on, but the pets weren’t complying. Fortunately, my son chose that moment to dump a cup of apple juice on the rug so I at least had a reasonable test spot. The product was easy to spray on, did not require that loathsome scrubbing and blotting drill post-application, and true to the promise had no odor at all.
Granted apple juice is not urine, but as much as I commit to my reviews I wasn’t about to purposely dump pee on the floor to check out how well a cleaner works. I was happy with its performance, and even happier that when my son started wrestling Brody on the rug 5 minutes later I wasn’t worrying about what sorts of toxic fumes they might be breathing into their lungs in the name of cleanliness. I left the can in the kids’ bathroom, a place of high honor in my house hierarchy of cleaning products I reach for.

Our poor couch has taken so much abuse from us. Things spilled on it. Crumbs. Drool from sleeping kids and adults. The occasional leaky diaper. Oh, and this one time Lil O threw up on it.
So, I sprayed it down with the furniture refresher! Including the pillows. After the spray dried I gave it the smell test. It was so cool!!! The couch didn't have any odor on it. The "funk" was gone. I was so thrilled!!!! This worked better than the Febreeze I had been using,
Speaking of "funk" I used the cleaner on the area rug in the living room.
First, I vacuumed the rug. Then I sprayed it down with the Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner. After it had dried I gave it a good vacuum. I admit I had my doubts. Could that one time spray cleaner have gotten out the ground in food, spilled milk, leaky diaper stinky rug?
Yes, it did!!! I am so impressed. I got down and took lots of sniffs!!! No funky smell.
I feel so much better about my living room now.

Clean+Green sent me a sample of their carpet and upholstery cleaner for dog stains/odors. Although Henry doesn’t make a habit of peeing on our rugs, I thought the cleaner would be good for cleaning any stains or odors he might be leaving behind.
I really like how these products are made from biodegradable and organic materials so they are safe for Henry and my kids.
The product worked really well, and I was pleasantly surprised by it.

I have a two year old chihuahua/mini daschund mix that is a full time house dog. He doesn’t shed or have much of an odor but after a few weeks I will walk by his cage and notice that it definitely has a unique smell. I used the Clean + Green that was formulated for carpet and upholstery on his pet bed. Upon receiving my bottle of Clean + Green, I noticed that the cap on the bottle is built very sturdy and I liked that it wouldn’t pop off from being tipped over.
The product sprays consistently and evenly. It didn’t have any air bubbles interrupt the flow, so I was able to coat down his dog bed in a matter of seconds. I let it set in and one thing stuck out to me right away was – this product has no scent! I was excited about it but I bet my dog appreciates it even more. It’s nice to have a neutralizing product that actually takes away scents instead of just adding on layers of its own.
I only had to use one coating on my dogs bed and it smells great now. I had a friend take the Clean + Green home to try on their dog (who definitely has an odor) and they were able to get rid of the smell and remove spots up off of their carpet that had already set. All in all it is a great product and I’d trust using it around my pets and my house.

I have three dogs and two cats. I wanted one dog, but I ended up with all these pets because I have a bit of a soft side when it comes to animals in need. All of these animals would likely have died or been killed if I hadn’t taken them in. Most had serious health problems which caused some unpleasant digestive issues and consequent messes in the house. Thank goodness Green+ Clean sent us a timely sample of Wood and Tile cleaner, Furniture Refresher, and Carpet and Upholstery cleaner well before my pets stopped trying to ruin our carpet.
I can say that the Carpet and Upholstery cleaner worked as well or better than anything else we’ve ever tried for removing pet stains. In fact, when I ran out, I went to my local pet store and was delighted to find the product for sale there. The Wood and Tile cleaner worked just as well. We also use the Furniture Refresher, spraying it on the doggy bed to reduce that thick doggy smell. But here is what is really remarkable about these products: the labels say, “All ingredients are non-toxic and harmless to pets, people and the planet.”
Do you ever look at a label on a supposedly environmentally responsible product and see as many warnings as any conventional product? These products are truly green. And the bonus is that their products don’t just work, they work as well as anything else available.

Okay, so I know its been awhile since I posted. I have so many things going on but still, no excuse, right??
One thing that has been taking up a lot of our time is our new puppy Nikko (pronounced Knee-Co)! We have had him for about three months now and he is a darling Yorkie with lots of love to give and well, lots of accidents. I had dogs before, but they were NEVER this hard to train. When Tommy was a puppy, we ultimately decided to remove all the carpets in our house. Since Tommy is well past his potty training days, we placed carpeting back into our house early this year. However, the carpet
in our living room constantly seems to retain a stale odor due to him running and rolling around outside, and then re-entering our house.

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I'm doing better (update tomorrow!), for now I'd like to get back to puggle business!
I've recently had the privilege to try a wonderful product and I would like to share my experiences with you. Grab the pupcorn & get comfy!
Clean + Green Pet Products have a wide variety of cleaning products that are all safe for us & the enviorment. Their products are very easy to use(spray & leave) and all contain their unique Advanced Eliminator3 Formula(TM) which doesn't just cover up the scent; it eliminates odors, deep cleans and removes stains. What more could you ask for right?
The smell was Mommy main concern as no cleaning product has helped so far(or home remedies for that matter). Here is a before shot of the Truly Awful Stain:
Tail not included in stain, although it helped make the stain! BOL! This particular stain is one that everyone got a whiff of when they stepped through our door. When Mommy & Daddy are gone 10 hours a day stains happen, smells happen!
To use this product all we had to do was spray it on the stained area, until barely damp, then leave it. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! After the first application we noticed a difference in smell, really remarkable! Several applications later:

Now let me tell you how old this stain is, I started working on this stain when we moved into the apartment and the sofa was where the t.v. is in the pictures(Yep, I used to pee on the back on the sofa, it's why my pawrents don't have friends! BOL!). We've been living here for almost two years! I've been making that stain my WHOLE life!

We was so please with this product we have given them the first ever Snuggle Puggle Seal of Approval! We will give this seal to products we feel are good enough for our bloggers pals(and us of course!) to use. If a product I review doesn't get the seal, it doesn't mean it's not great, it just wasn't "Snuggle Puggle Grade A" in my opinion. So congrats Clean + Green!
I was recently introduced to a new line of products called Clean + Green. I’m pleased to say that the product I tried works. We sampled the Dog-Concrete & Grout Cleaner and were pleasantly surprised. We have a 110 lb. yellow lab and when he uses the bathroom on the garage floor, suffice it to say, the mess is plentiful and smelly. We’ve tried numerous products in an attempt to get the left-over scent out of the concrete floor, but have found they really just mask the smell for a short period of time.
About a week ago there was a storm coming and my husband moved our dog from his pen into the garage. The next morning, there was the usual mess. After mopping it up, my husband went after the can of Clean+Green. He followed the directions exactly, which were incredibly simple: shake can, spray on affected area, allow to air dry. The next day when I went into the garage to get something, there was absolutely no urine odor. That’s something I haven’t been able to say for some time.
Clean+Green contains a large line of pet products. In addition to the concrete cleaner, there are cleaners for carpet, wood & tile, auto, furniture, and cat’s litter box. Another great looking product is the De-Skunk Coat Cleaner. The Clean+Green website says the cleaners are “effective on any common household odors such as animal and people urine and feces, skunk spray, smoke, sweat, and food odors.”
Speaking of smoke, our power went out last week for a few days and we kept warm by burning a fire in fireplace. Even though my husband cleaned out the ashes, the ash smell has remained. I reached for my can of Clean+Green Concrete & Grout Cleaner, and once again, the smell is gone.
It’s obviously important that the products work, but the best thing about them is that they are safe for children and pets and eco-friendly. According to their website, “CLEAN+GREEN is all natural, non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, non-corrosive, and non-flammable. Per the U.S. Federal Regulations Toxic Substances Control Act, Title III, Section 311 & 312, this product contains no health or hazardous materials. We have 3 large dogs, a cat, and a bird. So, we occasionally have pet accidents. And we use Nature's Miracle by the gallon. But we recently found a new product - Clean + Green by SeaYu.
These are eco-friendly, aerosol cleaning products. They have one for carpet/upholstery and another for wood floor/tile. When I first got the product, I was skeptical. But I decided to try it anyway as soon as one of my babies left me a little gift.
WOW! With just a light spray both the stain and the smell disappeared! It seems that I had to use twice as much Nature's Miracle to clean the same amount of mess. And the smell was 100% gone!! I never ever found anything (other than scented candles) that covered up the accident smell so well!
We tried the wood floor/tile one next. My elderly dog occasionally dribbles on the floor, so we needed a quick clean-up. Although the Clean + Green felt sticky when wet, it quickly dried. And the floor was so nice and clean that my husband decided to use it to clean the rest of the floor!
The eco-friendliness of the product was just the topping on the cake. I would 100% recommend this product to anyone with pets. Now we aren't at all worried when guest come over... we invite them right in!!
One thing I have learned in the dog world is that there is never just one answer to any problem, be it health,behavioral, grooming or housekeeping. Recently I had the opportunity to try several of Sea Yu's 'Clean + Green 'products made to clean up the messes our pets create.

Being an antique freak, I was especially drawn to the Furniture Refresher. I can't use Febreze because I suffer from an environmental illness, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. Febreze makes me ill, and even if it didn't, I would be reluctant to use it as a veterinarian once told me it was suspect in the deaths of pet birds. And when you have antiques and buy lots of 100 year old fabrics, a safe furniture refresher that actually works would be incredible! I first tried it on a damask dog bed that the dog and cat share. I don't wash it as much as I should because it is difficult to dry...I sprayed, waited, took a deep breath and was disappointed that I didn't smell anything. Then I realized that no smell was the point!!!! It is fragrance free and works on contact. I have sprayed it all over the place and just love it.
Now it was on to the Wood and Tile odor eliminator and stain remover. Before our neighborhood association began neutering feral cats, they made it a point to spray my front door. And in our heat and humidity, you really know it. Could this product eliminate years of feral cat spray from my front door? Yes, it seems it has. Give me a week of 100 degree temps and I might have to respray but for now the odor is gone.
The third product I wanted to try was the Carpet and Upholstery Odor Eliminator and Stain remover. The only problem was...I had nothing to clean. I have never had housebreaking issues with my pets, ever. Not even thrown up hairballs on carpet or furniture. Then I got a text message from a friend who said ugly things about her large dog who had just
eliminated in her van! It seems she let the dog ride in the van on a short trip ( I never leave a pet loose in a vehicle) and the dog peed and pooped all over the van when the owner got out...even in the vans' cup holders!!!And this is an older dog and you know that makes the odor much worse!
Most of the damage was on the upholstery, the passengers side door and the carpet in the rear of the van. Clean + Green took care of all of this and there has been no recurring odor so far. I think this is pretty amazing. Also amazing is the fact that this is a VOC free product and NON TOXIC. I wish more pet product manufacturers would pay attention to the chemicals they expose us to.

Chemicals can cripple and it really is important that we use SAFE and EFFECTIVE products around our families and our pets. Clean + Green may not be the only answer in pet clean-up, but I firmly believe it is the BEST answer....
My favorite couch has never been the same since our adorable dog came into our life. The light beige upholstery took on more of an overall brown tone and having the covers washed never completely helped.

Today is Blog Action Day and the topic is: Climate Change. Now I thought about ways to write about climate change as related to dogs and what I came up with is thinking of ways to make our lives with our dogs greener and therefore having less impact on our environment. I know it’s sort of a stretch but the way I see it is we make greener choices in our dog’s lives which therefore means reducing global warming which is one of the causes of….climate change!
One of the ways we can do this is in our homes with cleaning products. Clean and Green is a company dedicated to producing eco-friendly cleaning solutions for pets. Not only are these products not harmful to the environment, but that means they are super safe to use without worry about adverse effects to your pets and best of all, they are 100% biodegradable!
The company sent me two samples to try a few months ago. Any accident the dogs had, it eliminated it completely – it even worked on some stains that had set in from before!

I had an opportunity to try a couple of the Clean+Green Pet Cleaning and odor eliminating products.
One is the Clean+green Carpet Upholstery odor eliminator ,cleaner, and stain remover. The rug is Jill's favorite place to lay now. The rug smelled like a hound dog. I mean just like a hound dog! We love Jill the Basset Hound, but she has this persistent hound dog odor. No matter how many baths she gets.
The Clean+green Carpet Upholstery odor eliminator arrived just in time. All it took was just a little bit of spray, just enough to dampen the area where Jill lays. Not a soaking spray and gone was that hound dog smell. Completely gone.
The odor wasn't masked with a perfume cover up either. It was just gone.
No more clothes pins on the nose.
I also like the Clean+green products because they are: Non-toxic, Non-flammable, Eco Friendly Propellant and Non-corrosive.
Lionel also is an indoor/outdoor animal. He bring a few interesting smells along with him also since he likes to hang out in the barn. I sprayed just a little bit on the sofa cushion and any foul and offensive odors are gone! (Not that Lionel is foul and offensive!) of course.

Wow-- Boomer is one big dog! Apparently, it's the world tallest dog. All I know is that I hope Boomer knows how to do the dishes, or I would have a hard time justifying the food bills! Plus, I would need to get a much bigger couch to accommodate this giant...
Speaking of dogs, I wanted to tip off my fellow dog owners to some new products for pet owners. A month ago, I received some products in the mail at CCHQ. They totally neutralize the dogginess that can pervade a home. ( Dog owners, you know what I am talking about, though we pretend not to notice!) Love this stuff-- works on the leather couch my German shepherd Mia has co-opted ( or "destroyed" , as my husband would say), works on the carpet, on her bedding.
No more dog smell that hits you at the front door. Even my sister Sheila, whose is not shy with her opinion on the cleanliness of your home, said, " Wow, your house smells better." Just though others may like to know. (And, in the spirit of the new nutty FTC guidelines regarding bloggers and product placement payments, no money exchanged for this product testing mention! I just think the stuff works!)
Finally, if you don't have Daily Puppy on your list of sites to visit at work while wasting time, please add it to your faves. I like to check in once a day, just to put a smile on my face. Like Doug the Golden Retriever. See, aren't you happy now?

I’m often asked to be a tester of different natural pet products which I typically am pretty happy to do, especially if it involves TRUE raw meaty treats, WOOF! This time however it is with a little embarrassment I share my latest product testing.
When we first moved to this new house a little over a year ago, I was very disoriented and anxious bepaws I’d lived in our previous home since I was a pup of 4 1/2 months old. As you all know who read my blog regularly, I just turned ten years old in August of this year. That was a long time to live in one place, have the same routine and no other. With a whole different routine, new dogs, etc., and a new environment I got sick to my tummy one night and bepaws my humans didn’t wake up to let me outside, I ran into the spare bedroom as far from them as possible and went poop. That is only the second time I have ever gone poop in the house of which I’m mighty proud bepaws I pride myself on my discretion.
When my humans discovered my mishap in their new house on fairly new carpet they weren’t too happy but they were mostly upset with themselves for not hearing my needs. They cleaned it up as best they could but the lingering smell of something not quite right, while not outright smelling like poop, just not right, bothered them. It was especially noticeable during the hot summer months bepaws of how the sun beat down upon that bedroom.

SeaYu Enterprises has just surveyed customers to find out what matters most about pet wellness.
Pet owners in the survey consider nutrition to be the most important aspect of their pet's wellness (60%) followed by affection/play (17%) and disease prevention (11%). An overwhelming majority 94% – said they were concerned with the negative effects traditional cleaning products have on their pet's health. With good reason – according to the Environmental Protection Association (EPA), typical household cleaning products and air fresheners are one of the leading contributors to poor indoor air quality. The agency reports that poor indoor air quality can lead to health issues; animals have faster metabolisms and smaller lungs than humans, and not only are they processing these chemicals at a faster rate, they are also breathing them in more rapidly. I got a sample the other day of SeaYu’s Clean+Green Products, and since October is National Pet Wellness Month, now is, as it happens, an especially good time to share what I found.
As a person with asthma, I really appreciate products that do not contain VOCs or heavy scent. Whenever I spray things, I usually need to get away from the area quickly which may be funny to watch, but is born of the need to breath!
Clean+Green claims products are non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, and 100% biodegradable and recyclable. That’s quite a list—but there’s nothing I appreciate more than a product that is proactive in addressing the laundry list of concerns most of us have these days.
Each Clean+Green product is formulated to address a specific odor and/or stain problem. I received the spray cans for use on carpets and upholstery, and wood floors and tile. They do have products for cement, fabrics and litter boxes, not included in this review. Clean+Green products are also non-flammable, and are made with all natural ingredients—you don’t need to have a science degree to know what’s in the product. Just read the label and smile for a change (cane sugar, mixed botanicals, hydrated cellulose, purified water, and nitrogen propellant)! If you get it in your eyes, rinse with water. And did I mention there’s no scent??
Now to the results: I tried the Carpet & Upholstery product on two oriental rugs, two different types of wool rugs, and a wood floor. You do need to keep the can in as upright a position as possible due the type of propellant used—if you hold the can at what might be a natural 90 degree angle, you will probably release all the nitrogen.
Both oriental rugs had bile stains where water and blotting had already been used to extract the stain. There was an ugly residual stain left, I sprayed on the Clean+Green, followed the minimal instructions, and the stain was gone with no change to the dyes in the rug (do a spot test). It was also used with excellent results on a urine stain on a thick pile wool rug. Just for grins, I tried it on an old stain, something the product is not intended for, on a white rug that had been professionally cleaned. While the stain is still present, it is noticeably less yellow than it was. I call that a great bonus! Clean+Green works.
Next, the Wood & Tile floor product was used on a urine spot in a home with a puppy—what an easy and convenient testing environment—and it was like it never happened. No smell, no stain, and with the encapsulated action this product uses to capture smell, this should not be a “return to the scene of the crime” spot for other dogs that come into the house. I’m thinking with my other hat now, about the patient and dedicated foster families we have at Lake Shore Animal Shelter and am putting this on the list for their (early) Christmas and Hanukkah gifts.

I was actually surprised that these products were in an aerosol can as most green products are not. The Clean+Green products, however, are non-toxic, non-flammable, non-carcinogenic and will not damage the ozone layer.
Furniture Refresher Odor Eliminator - I have to admit that coming out of the can this had an odd scent that is difficult to describe. It was not flowery, fruity, spicy, fresh, etc. It did seem to remove the odors from our couch and throw rug though. Our couch and rug simply did not smell after using this product. Instead of masking the odor it did seem to actually remove it.
Carpet & Upholstery Odor Eliminator - I LOVED this product. My dog vomits frequently and it is such a pain to clean it up, especially if we do not catch it right away. She never gets sick on the hardwoods or the linoleum - it is always the carpet, so cleaning up is always a challenge. We also received the Wood and Tile cleaner but do not have much of a pet problem there (my dog prefers carpet accidents LOL).
For this product we simply sprayed and let sit (after cleaning up the vomit). I found that this product did remove almost all of the stain and the faint stain that was left was cleaned easily with either a little elbow grease or our steam cleaner. We have used this so much that we are almost out of this product.
I love that these products are safe and effective. Pet stains are usually challenging but Clean+Green is easing some of the burden. Clean+Green also sells products for Cats, Birds and small animals. If you are looking for a green pet cleaning line, I suggest considering Clean+Green products!

"ROOSEVELT ISLAND DOGS" CLEAN+GREEN PRODUCT REVIEW

Recently, the good people at Clean + Green sent me a couple of their products to test and review. The products they sent to me were their Wood & Tile cleaner & odor eliminator and their Carpet & Upholstery cleaner & odor eliminator.
I have to admit, I was very impressed with both of these products. The Carpet & Upholstery product made removing stains and odors very easy. The Wood & Tile cleaner allowed me to clean up a stinky mess quickly and virtually eliminated all odors associated with it. What I like most about both of these products is that they not only worked great, but they also eliminated unwanted smells without leaving a perfume odor of their own. Both products are unscented so you're not covering up odors, you really are eliminating them.
The one feature I wish would be changed relates to the Carpet & Upholstery product. While it works great and gets the job done, the aerosol (non-harmful environmentally friendly) dispensing packaging means that you don't have as much control over the quantity of product you are spraying and therefore the product doesn't last as long as it could. If they could repackage this product in a manual spray bottle, it could be applied more times before becoming empty.
Overall, both products are excellent and I encourage anyone looking for natural, non-perfume odor eliminator and cleaning solutions to check out Clean + Green.
We have all kinds of smell producers in our house-- compost, cat, dog, not-quite-potty-trained twins, a cloth-diaper-wearing baby. We clean the litter box, the trash can, the compost bucket, the diaper pails regularly, but that doesn't stop the smells from trying to take over.
I think with smells, generally, you one of two choices: 1) live with the odors and just get used to them; or 2) spray the house constantly with some odor-covering product to try and mask the scents. Baking soda may work in the fridge and in the washer, but it's messy for other application. Our trash can is clumped with it and it still reeks.
So I was happy to try Clean+green (Sea-Yu) products that were sent to me by awesome Mom blogger SAHM Reviews. They are "all natural and pet-safe" according to their packaging. I've given them the run-around here's the results:
• The Furniture Refresher isn't just for furniture and pet beds. I sprayed it directly onto the litter after scooping. Urine smell was reduced significantly. (I think Betty would agree that it worked. I am not sure if it is related, but she hasn't been avoiding me as much lately! Cats!)
• Used the Refresher in the diaper pail... sprayed in and took a big whiff. The odor was gone "on contact," as promised. These are just cheapy, $10 plastic pails from Wal-Mart that my in-laws picked up. I hate them because they don't seal, but with the odor spray that might not be such an issue any longer.
• Sprayed the Refresher into the rolling bin for our trash and inhaled. Phew... might need a couple applications there! The instructions didn't say it would work for garbage pails, but I like all-purpose products when I can get them. I'll keep trying it again.
Clean+green sent me a "Carpet and Upholestery" spray as well that has the same ingredients -- cane sugar derivatives, botanical extracts and hydrated cellulose, along with water and a nitrogen propellant for the canister. I'm not sure what the difference is between the products except the upholstery products claims to "remove stains" as well. So far, no we haven't had any yucky pet stains to clean up (we don't have much carpet), but I might try it on the oil spot on my comforter.

I have to tell you, Mum has used a lot of green cleaners on our carpet and floors, but none have worked as well as Clean+Green. This one got out a stain that had been left by some workmen in our house for over four years. That's powerful!!!
Mum first used the Wood & Tile product, and got some spills off the floor in the kitchen. It got the stains right up, but the nice thing is that there wasn't any overpowering smell when spraying. Amazingly enough, there was hardly any smell at all! Love it.
So then she decided to use the Carpet & Upholstery product they sent. First she started on a spot where my kittie bro, Wiggy, had had one of his once a year hairballs. The remains of a stain had been there for a while, and the product got it right up. Nice!
Then Mum decided to give it the big test and try it out on the stain that had been on our carpet for four year. We had no idea what it was, but think it was grease based from some workman in our house, which are super difficult to get up.
Here are the results. First the stain, then voila, it was gone! Mum was very impressed, she had tried all kinds of green cleaners and her own green recipes on that spot many times over the years. Nothing she tried got it up except the Clean+Green. And again, barely any odors at all!
And the best part is this stuff is made of very safe and green ingredients. Here's the list from the Carpet & Upholstery spray: Cane sugar derivatives, proprietary botanical extracts and hydrated cellulose (cleaning agents), purified water and nitrogen propellant (non-flammable & eco friendly.) After months and months of neglecting it, even pretending that it didn't exist...I decided to clean the car. This is one of those chores that I would soon rather hire someone to do than have to do myself. It was a mess!, but at $150 for a professional car cleaning and detail job, and the fact that they probably weren't going to use Earth friendly products, I thought, buck up and get cleaning. Once I cleaned out all of the garbage and removed Eben's car seat, I was horrified. How did the car get so bad, (I swear we don't drive it that often) there was something that may have been yogurt at one time stuck to the seat under Eben's car seat and underneath the drivers side seat was a large melted mound of what could only have at one time been malted chocolate balls. There was also a fair amount of dog drool everywhere. Yes, we have two drooling dogs that love to travel with us. I thought again to myself, OY!, this is going to take all day. I vacuumed up everything that I could and was left with stained floors and seats. {I hope you don't think we are complete slobs, I promise my house is immaculate. lol.}
That is when I remembered that I had received two bottles of Clean + Green in the mail. The bottle also states that the product is safe, environmentally responsible, non-toxic, non-flammable, non-corrosive, non-carcinogenic and 100% biodegradable, not to mention that the bottle is recyclable and costs only $8.99 for a large 16 oz. can. I thought, what have I got to lose. I sprayed and walked away.
After cleaning up all of the garbage that was found under the seats and after putting away all of the toys, books, papers, pens, underwear {yes, there were underwear in the car...can you imagine?, lol} and many many other items that didn't belong in the car. I went back to investigate with my steam cleaner in hand because I was very skeptical. To my amazement, it worked. I couldn't believe it, there weren't even water stains. I was really, really glad that I took before and after pictures, because I almost didn't believe it myself.
Using Sea-Yu's products saved me a ton of time, I didn't have to steam clean the upholstery and floors, and when I do steam clean it usually leaves water marks, (which Clean + Green did not.) There was no odor, (the car didn't have a VOC smell) , it was just SIMPLY clean.

As you may know, I got a puppy the other day. A baby Sheltie named Charlie. With the new pup, I've also made a commitment to make my house as organic and chemical free as possible. The reason, my last dog Champ died of cancer and who knows but I don't think chemically ladden cleaning products helped at all.

I was contacted by this great company that makes all natural pet safe cleaner. They sent me a sample to try and I have to say it works. I tried the Carpet & Upholstry. I have used it on Mia’s Dog Kennel, bed and blanket. After a trip in the car and a dog with motion sickness something to help with the smell is always good. a try, and my initial thought was "sure, I'll try them". I live in a new house, and wouldn't say I have a problem with pet stains or odor, but I have been puppy sitting and puppy foster "momming" a couple of times since moving in.

My first victim was a spot on the carpet, that I believe came from a puppy. There was no odor, just a slight spot, I thought I'd go easy at first. I followed the directions on the can, spraying directly on the spot until damp, not soaked, and walked away. I came back later, and the spot was still there. And to this day it is still there. It's slight, but it's still there.
My next victim was a spot on my couch. Now I don't believe it came from an animal, it's probably a juice spot from one of the kids sippy cups leaking, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway. I have one of those microfiber couches, that cleans up pretty easily anyway, so I thought the cleaner could handle it. Once again I sprayed as directed, and allowed the spot to dry. The stain is lessened, but still there. Another fail.
On a whim I thought I'd tackle a true nasty pet stain. My female cat must have decided she really doesn't like our dog, I don't know why he is the best dog ever, but she has decided to use his dog bed as a new place to relieve herself. She's about to find herself homeless. But anyway, the bed had two spots, both stinky and obviously urine and feces. I sprayed the spots and walked away not hoping for much. When I came back, I was shocked to find both spots gone. Gone! No smell, no stain. I was amazed!
So here is my take. This truly is a pet product, not just for any stain. So for my juice and mystery spills I would definitely go to my old stand-by cleaning product. But for those nasty pet stains that it seems nothing can help, especially the odor, I would make the separate purchase and buy this product.

I should also be honest and let you know that I HATE SMELLY DOG HOUSES. I think it’s disgusting. When it was just me and Bean, it was easy to keep it clean. But now, with Tank, two kids and their dad in the mix, it’s a little more difficult. So now, I live in one of those smelly houses (don’t even pretend it doesn’t stink when you walk in – I know better). No matter how often I vacuum nor how many sticks of Nag Champa I burn, this house has that eternal dog smell. It’s gross.
So when Clean & Green contacted me a few weeks back, right in the midst of the cat pee incident, about trying “the only eco-friendly aerosol pet cleaning products on the planet,” I said “Sign me up.” Then I said “Can you send me like, 2 cases?” (They politely sent me just what I would need to thoroughly test the products and, of course, get hooked. You know the whole ‘This one’s on me” routine.)
If you’re a pet household, you’ve probably tried just about everything to eliminate that pet odor. Febreze masks the odor in an equally disgusting perfumey overkill smell that lasts all of 2 hours. Arm & Hammer Pet Odor carpet sprinkles are way too strong smelling, clog up my vacuum and generally leave me worrying about the chemicals my baby girl is rolling around on. I’ve tried candles, incense and room spray – all temporary fixes that work fine for company coming over, but I need something so that I’m not gagging when I walk through the door on a Tuesday afternoon.
I first tested the Dog Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner and Odor Eliminator on my ‘cat problem.’ Unfortunately, I’d already tried close to 200 other products. I first used the Bissell Little Green to try to shampoo it out. And I tried it again and again, soaking the area with soap and not thoroughly rinsing. Then I tried white vinagar, some Simple Green, and before it had all even dried, I tried the Carpet and Upholstery Spray.
Shockingly, it didn’t really work.

What’s more, the smell of the product is very, very light. It’s not perfumey or fake. It doesn’t ‘mask’ the odor like other ‘odor eliminators.‘ And the best thing about it? It’s safe for my baby to roll around on and for the environment.
I also tried the Furniture Refresher, which Adam totally digs. He is a freak about our couch (don’t ask) and insists on ‘refreshing’ it frequently. (Could care less about the expensive rug, but boy, he has got to have a fresh-smelling couch. Weirdo.)
I also went ahead and bought their Wood & Tile product, since there’s a place my dog insists on peeing every time it rains. The grout is permanently stankified. I haven’t received it yet, but I know it’ll be awesome.
I haven’t yet seen these products at the big box stores, but they are available at PetSmart and PetCo – which is only mildly less convenient.

SeaYu's Clean+ Green knocks out tough pet odors. I have a dog and a cat that love to run around the house and roll on all my furniture and nap on the rugs. As much as I love my pets, they don't seem to have the same level of cleanliness as me. I have thought about buying fabric re-freshers, but wondered if the chemicals were safe for my furry friends and me.

About a week ago, the nice folks at SeaYu were nice enough to send Layla and I a complimentary green cleaning product after hearing about our green cleaning efforts on the blog. While we are not clean freaks, we do keep a clean house so we were really interested in trying out the cleaners they had sent us.

Both products were excellent, quick acting and we did not worry about what we were breathing in when we used the products, which is refreshing for sure.

" since, along with dogs, we also have cats; between the two, we've got plenty of opportunities for some true testing! Through the years, we've used countless cleaning products but we always have one big concern: because of Paris's asthma, we really steer clear of scented cleaning products. So many products just mask the smell, don't remove the source of the smell, and, bring on the wheezing.
This was not at all the case with Clean+Green! We sprayed the aerosol cleaner and the odor was eliminated. No perfume. No wheezing. Just, well, clean...
Clean+Greensent me several cleaners from their line to use and review. Since I have two inside dogs - Jack Russell terriers - we deal with "accidents" and smelly dogs often. I told Clean + Green I was interested in their cleaners because they told me they would clean the area AND remove the odor when my pups made a mess. But, I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that these cleaners would also remove other kinds of messes and odors! These are great from ANYONE - pets or no pets! My favorite of the cleaners was the Furniture Refresher. This is because it is not only great for removing pet odors from the house and the furniture, it is also great for removing those stinky smells from the diaper pail and clothes hamper. It also gets rid of stinky smells from the trashcan and if you are a smoker, it gets rid of those areas where smoke lingers too.
One tip that I absolutely loved and would have never known to do is that if you have a lingering odor in your home that just won't go away you can take out the filter from your HVAC system and turn on the fan and set the system to heat. Then, locate the return vent and spray the Furniture Refresher or the Auto Odor Eliminator on the return vent and allow the system to run about 5 minutes. This will get the product spread throughout the home/room and eliminate those lingering odors.
The Carpet and Upholstery Odor Eliminator, Cleaner, and Stain Remover is great to remove my pups mistakes from the carpet in the bedrooms - it can clean all the way to the carpet pad and sub floor! It gets rid of the stains AND the icky smells! One tip they shared with me is that you must spray the cleaner in a larger area than just the area where the yucky stuff was deposited! This is because it soaks and spreads wider underneath the carpet.

Through the Mom Trials: We’ve been trying to go as green as we can and that includes taking care of pets and their odorific habits. As much as I love them, I can’t stand some of the gross, smelly things they do that come along with them. I have a very stubborn American bulldog who loves to get into anything he can find outside, including dead carcasses that leaves a horrible stink on our rug when he pukes and drools all over it. It’s not very pleasant I tell you! I managed to get the stain out of the rug, but the faint smell lingers. Then he precedes to get his slobbery mouth all over our leather furniture and the slight stench is still present through my several attempts of using a variety of cleaners to get it out. Pet Product Review - CLEAN+GREEN by SeaYu The Only Eco-Friendly Aerosol Pet Cleaning Product

Ok, today is Earth Day!!! Happy Earth Day! I'm in beautiful California where the weather is just gorgeous and I can't think of a better day to help SeaYu launch their new line of odor and stain aerosol cleaning products called CLEAN+GREEN.
The people at CLEAN+GREEN sent me some samples, so I was really glad to test them out in time for Earth Day, but also to help me clean up after that little minature Pinscher house guest I had the other week. You may remember, the one that pee'd all over my oriental rugs. Ok, I'm venting... but the timing was perfect.
Now, as you know every pet household must have cleaning products in their house to combat the occassional accidents and mishaps. Even, Champ, my perfect little Sheltie had one the other day on the wood floor. Now my position is if you're going to buy anything, especially cleaning, disposible, waste bags, or such, try your very hardest to make sure it's eco-friendly and biodegradable. Well finally we have an aerosol product that is. But, I'm not a scientist that can prove this, I leave this up to the people at SeaYu.
As for the products, yes they are great. When you use CLEAN+GREEN, you can tell the odor is removed without any perfumes or chemicals. Its kind of weird, its more of an odor eraser. I did use it on the rug that my minature house guest wet, and I can say that the odor is gone. Unfortunately, the stain was in the rug so long that that dye of the rug did change slightly (only I can tell). So, CLEAN+GREEN Rug cleaner is not going to do miracles.
Now on the wood floor, I used the CLEAN+GREEN for a more solid mess-up. After good old water and a bit of soap, I used the CLEAN+GREEN for wood floors. I sprayed it on and let it sat, and low and behold, no smell or residue. Usually I pour tons of oil soap all over the floor, and then furniture polish make it shine. CLEAN+GREEN is a lot less.
Which brings me to another point I like, you don't need tons and tons of product to make it work. A few sprays. Not like some "miracle" products that require a full saturation and even then may take up to two weeks to work. Please, what a waste.

With 2 dogs and 4 cats in my house, messes happen. Upset stomachs, fur balls - you name it, it has graced the floors and furniture at some point throughout the years. These days, the most common mess around here is Lucian slobber. He’s a giant dog and he loves to put his face on things. This wouldn’t be a cause for panic, except most times he puts his face on the couch - right after a meal. His drool is a viscous conduit for residue from his food and leaves large spots where his jowls hit the upholstery. Not pleasant. Of course, you can’t get mad at him - those lips are part of his charm.
I recently received a containerof Clean + Green Carpet and Upholstery cleaner. As a huge fan of eco-friendly products, I was excited to try it out (expect to see a lot more about “green” products in the near future).
Why We Like It:
* I loathe bottles of cleaners that have pumps that stop working, or the ones that you have to pull trigger 20 times to start the stream. The Clean + Green has a continuous, nitrogen powered, forceful spray (but doesn’t contain any CFC) that allows you to cover the affected area easily.
* I’ve tested other cleaners that literally bleached a layer of skin off of my hands (they never made it to the blog for obvious reasons). This spray is natural and didn’t feel like burning when I got it on my hands. Obviously a gentle cleaner is better for everyone in the house.
* The product isn’t just a stain remover, but also a cleaner and an odor eliminator. Most products I’ve found that advertise “odor elimination” just cover it up with another scent. Clean + Green doesn’t smell like *anything* - it took the doggy smell out of the spots on our couch and left no trace scent.
* I didn’t have to use elbow grease. I just got up most of the “chunks” (ew) and then sprayed the spot until it was damp. Then you let it dry (this took a while) - I was amazed that 90% of the stain was gone. I sprayed some more on and let it dry. I couldn’t find the stain the next day.
I’m betting this product will work well on muddy paw prints this upcoming Spring. I’d suggest you puppy owners stocking up! A cleaning product

SeaYu Clean+Green Dog & Cat Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner Review

SeaYu Clean+Green is a carpet and upholstery product created to clean, eliminate odor, and remove stains. The product itself is labeled as fragrance free which was completely true during use and much appreciated. There was no evidence of scent of any kind all the way up to 1 inch away from the spot. However, the dogs did certainly know exactly where the product was applied each time it was used. Most cleaners and odor eliminators have scents that after using a few times just make me sick to my stomach. This product was quite refreshing in that aspect. If you use fragrance varieties of other products you will not have to worry about the scents mixing and competing against each other.
The eco friendly formula is safe on all water safe surfaces and is non-toxic, non-flammable, non-corrosive, non-carcinogenic and 100% biodegradable. The ingredients are listed as a cane sugar derivative, botanical extracts and hydrated cellulose for cleaning, purified water, and nitrogen propellant for the aerosol effect. The product is made in the USA with no CFCs and does not harm the ozone.
In terms of packaging, this aerosole spray cleaner is top notch. The can and graphics scream green with a bit of a hip, earthy feeling.
Directions: Remove excess urine, feces, or vomit from the area, shake can and spray directly on stain and odor spot in an area a bit larger than the spot itself, allow to dry. Repeat if necessary. No need to soak or scrub the area as long as the spray comes in contact with the true source of the odor.
As you can imagine I had a variety of spots to test this product out on.
Spot #1 – Yellow stain on off white carpet about 3 inches in diameter. Smell – half stomach acid, half dog food.
Spot #2 – Brown-ish colored stain in series of 4 or 5 small to larger spots on off white carpet (not entirely sure these were pet stains). Smell – not much.
Spot #3 – No discoloration to speak of on dark rug. Smell – urine, fairly fresh.
Spot #4 – No discoloration to speak on brown rug. Smell – urine, old and set in.
This cleaner did just what it advertises.
The spots that were discolored disappeared and the odor on each spot was gone within minutes of application.
There was no need to reapply to any of the spots that I tried the cleaner on even those that were old and set in were effectively deodorized.
Clean+Green has varieties for dogs, cats, birds, and even small animals including ferrets and rabbits. The products work on carpet, wood, tile, concrete, and can even be used in your car. They even have a variety that is supposed to even work on skunk odor, but I did not have the opportunity to test this application.
As to the eco friendly nature of the product, I am no chemist, but the product certainly works just as well as other non-eco friendly varieties and will remain in my stain and odor fighting arsenal.
When SeaYu Enterprises contacted me about trying out their CLEAN + green Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner, I thought to myself, "Boy did they contact the right blogger for this!" We have a 15yr old Beagle plus four cats. Although the cats have accidents once in awhile, the main problem is our poor elderly dog. I know he cannot help it, but I have to clean up messes from him at least once a day, whether it's on the floor, the carpet, or the sofa.
Below is an example of a stain from dog vomit. I believe this happened during the night. By the time I found it in the morning, it was already dry. I even let it sit until afternoon just so I could give this all-natural carpet cleaner a real test. The things I do for the sake of a thorough review, huh?
As you can see, the stain is pretty apparent and there may even be some tiny bits in there. YUM! So, I sprayed the CLEAN + green onto the stain as directed. I made it moist, but not soaked, and covered an area that was larger than the actual stain in case the stain had soaked through the carpet and started to spread underneath. There was no scrubbing or rinsing involved. I was just to spray the area and allow it to dry.
After the first try, the stain seemed to lighten, but did not come close to disappearing. The results below shows the stained area after two applications with still no scrubbing . . .
I think the results are pretty good. I can still see traces of the stain, but I think another application would take care of that. This stain was at least 12 hours old, so I have no doubt that this carpet and upholstery cleaner will get out a stain that is found right away.
1) Unlike the cleaner I normally use, this product almost has no odor at all.
2) It appeared to eliminate the odor caused by the stain. I wish I could spray it on everything in my house. I guess that means I need to pick up some of the Wood & Tile Cleaner too.
3) It is not quick drying. It has been two hours since I applied the spray and that spot on the carpet is still visibly wet.
4) Since it is all-natural with no harsh chemicals, this cleaner is safe for my children and pets.

Being in a home with my two beautiful Labrador Retriever girls and a bunch of little ones can lead to many stains and accidents. The children make more of a mess (kids being kids) but my Labrador Retriever girls will have accidents (no matter how well trained, accidents happen).
In the lower level of my home I do have carpeting which leads to some adventurous moments, not to mention the sofa which is suppose to have a no eating and no Labrador Retriever rule! Things happen and before you know it, a cup of juice is spilled, or my chocolate Labrador has just run in from the dirt in the yard and has fond a comfortable spot on the couch (hubby's not going to be happy). Needless to say, I do have a stubborn stain or two (maybe a couple more hiding under the flipped over cushions).
Using the Clean+Green Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner, Odor Eliminator and Stain Remover was a pleasant surprise. I have tried many products with some success, as well as homemade concoctions with limited success but was very pleased with the job the Clean+Green product had done. It removed stubborn stains that I thought would never come out (stains that were there for some time). It also helped to eliminate odors from the couch and the carpets, leaving the rooms smelling clean and fresh, not just masking the odors. Last but not least and a point I'm very happy about is their products are are non-toxic and non-carcinogenic, making them safe for all.
