My Thoughts:
With 3 pets one of the biggest problems I have is with clean up. Everything else I've used it cleans fine but almost nothing gets rid of the smells. These products did both great. The products are individually formulated to address specific problems. These were the 2 I received for review:

DOG & CAT - Wood & Tile Odor Eliminator, Cleaner and Stain Remover - We have wood floors and I have never found a product before this that was made just for that. I have always been a little scared to use something new on the wood floors. This didn't hurt the floors at all. It took away any smell very fast. The best thing for me was that I didn't have to worry about using it around anyone or the animals because they are all non-toxic, non-flammable & non-carcinogenic.

SMALL ANIMAL - All Purpose Odor Eliminator, Cleaner and Stain Remover - We have a pet rat (yes a rat) They are very clean pets more so then the hamsters we have had in the past. That being said I wasn't sure what to clean the cage with when we first got her because the cage was much larger then what I was used to. This was great with the smell and different types of stains. Small animal pee stain has been very hard for me to get rid of in the past because it sits of a while and leaves white rings. With one spray of this it was gone.

The prices are great, I have bought products that were twice the these prices and they didn't do as good of a job.

Recently, I was given the opportunity to test two Clean + Green products; Furniture Refresher and Carpet and Odor Eliminator. As this, fits in with my goal of using more green and eco-friendly products, I was thrilled. Clean + Green is known for eliminating odors, especially those pesky pet odors.

We don't have any pets but given that I do live in New York City, my apartment does get that musty odor smell and lingering food smells, broccoli and fish, anyone?

Both products proved to be useful for non pet odors, I found that the musty odor on my sofa seemed to magically disappear. I read the instructions for more odors that could be eliminated by both products.

The one that surprised me was using the Furniture refresher in the garbage can, furniture refresher, sounds counter-intuitive, right.

There is some funky smell coming from the garbage can and trust me, I have washed the garbage can several times and yet nothing changed. Smell, still there. I finally figured out it was the garbage bags that smelled. I keep them there to save space. There were at least 40 of them, so throwing them out was not an option since we know how expensive garbage bags are. I sprayed the bags with the furniture refresher and the smell went away. Fantastic. I couldn't believe it. Smell, gone. Bags saved.

I also tried the Furniture Refresher on my daughter's stinky shoes. She hates socks so that leaves nothing between her stinky feet and her shoes. The smell didn't completely away but at least I don't have to move them out of her closet. As far as I am concerned it worked.

Typical household cleaning products and air fresheners are one of the leading contributors to poor indoor air quality (which is why I have started making my own general household cleaning products). The EPA has reported that poor indoor air quality can lead to health issues that manifest soon after exposure or, possibly, years later. As a mom whose job it is to protect my kids, that is very frightening.

With a messy husband, three kids and a pet, I know that accidents happen unexpectedly AND frequently. Top priority is usually given to cleaning up the mess, especially if it is late at night or early in the morning. Although as a slightly OCD, organization junkie and clean freak, cleaning is usually a top priority, it is NOT a top priority at the expense of exposing my family or our dog to harmful chemicals.

There is always a balance of wanting something that works but is also safe. There are now many eco-friendly products on the market work as well as older, less "green" cleaning solutions. I was able to try the Furniture Refresher, Odor Eliminator and Cleaner. and the Carpet and Upholstery Odor Eliminator, Cleaner and Stain Remover (both for Dogs). I was actually surprised that these products were in an aerosol can as most green products are not. The Clean+Green products, however, are non-toxic, non-flammable, non-carcinogenic and will not damage the ozone layer.

Furniture Refresher Odor Eliminator - I have to admit that coming out of the can this had an odd scent that is difficult to describe. It was not flowery, fruity, spicy, fresh, etc. It did seem to remove the odors from our couch and throw rug though. Our couch and rug simply did not smell after using this product. Instead of masking the odor it did seem to actually remove it.

Carpet & Upholstery Odor Eliminator - I LOVED this product. My dog vomits frequently and it is such a pain to clean it up, especially if we do not catch it right away. She never gets sick on the hardwoods or the linoleum - it is always the carpet, so cleaning up is always a challenge. We also received the Wood and Tile cleaner but do not have much of a pet problem there (my dog prefers carpet accidents LOL).

For this product we simply sprayed and let sit (after cleaning up the vomit). I found that this product did remove almost all of the stain and the faint stain that was left was cleaned easily with either a little elbow grease or our steam cleaner. We have used this so much that we are almost out of this product.

I love that these products are safe and effective. Pet stains are usually challenging but Clean+Green is easing some of the burden. Clean+Green also sells products for Cats, Birds and small animals. If you are looking for a green pet cleaning line, I suggest considering Clean+Green products!

We have four cats and a dog. I'm always doing my best to keep the litter box clean. Every time someone "goes" either myself or my husband are right on top of it to clean it out. If not I'm sure our home would smell like a zoo. It's bad enough with the dog and his smells, like when he gets wet from the rain (wet dog is NOT a pleasant smell).

The litter box is the worst. I hate cleaning it out. We make sure to clean it out completely (as in remove all the litter) at least once a week and wash out the pan. It's not a fun job but someone has to do it. Usually we use soap and hot water and then spray it with Lysol.

A while back (and I do mean a while...read on to find out why) I received some products from a company called Sea-Yu (www.Sea-Yu.com). The products are from their Clean + Green product line. We relieved both a Litter Box Odor Eliminator & Cleaner as well as a Carpet & Upholstery cleaner, odor eliminator and stain remover.

I used the Litter Box Cleaner right away, so I have an immediate need to keep the litter box clean. You can use the Litter Box Cleaner one of two ways. You can either spray the product over the litter after you have scooped out the mess to eliminate the odors. You can also empty out the litter box, wash out the pan and then spray with the product and wipe it until it's dry.

According to the site and the packaging the product is non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-flamable, non-carcinogenic and 100% biodegradable. I was a bit concerned that it's an aerosol, since I know that it's bad for the environment. As per the packaging and the site the nitrogen propellant (aerosol) is non-flamable and eco-friendly. Seems odd to think about that, an aerosol as "eco-friendly" but since I am not a scientist I have to go with what I'm told.

As far as how it worked and how it smelled it worked as to be expected. The product is not have added fragrances, so it doesn't smell like a forest of roses after you spray it. It's NOT an air freshener but rather a product to absorb and eliminate odors. It does have a scent. Try as I might I can't think of a good description of it other then it smells like wood in a way (not REALLY but that is the closest scent I can think of to it).

So far, so good. No complaints. Anything that keeps my home from smelling like the Zoo is great in my book. Products that are not going to be harmful to my family or my pets is even better.

About my comment above about receiving the products a while back. I did! Weeks ago. But one of the products sent to me, the carpet cleaner, I haven't had a chance to use. Mind you I do have four cats and a dog. SOMEONE is throwing something up at some point. We used to have a cat who threw up so much our carpet was covered in red spots (he was a sickly cat). Of course now that I have a product to test on pet stains NO ONE wants to toss their cookies on the carpet for me. Ha Ha. Not that I minded. I rather NOT have to clean the carpet. They have thrown up a few times (hair balls, miscellaneous stuff I cannot identify, grass...) but it's been on the wood floor, not the carpet.

FINALLY on Friday my dog threw up. NOT that I'm excited about that. Apparently he inhaled his dog food and didn't chew a morsel of it because it was a whole mouthful of un-chewed canned dog food mixed with grass. My dog eats EVERYTHING under the sun when he's outside. Grass, dirt, sticks, rocks and his personal favorite, gum that people disgustingly just toss aside on the ground.

Anyway...

Finally! A chance to use the Carpet Cleaner from Clean + Green. It's an aerosol too. It comes out as a thick steam and then gets foamy.

As per the instructions it says to spray. There is no need to soak, scrub o rinse. I did wipe up as much of the puke that I could. Then I sprayed the cleaning product on it and just waited and watched. It says you don't have to do a thing.

Honestly I wasn't too keen on that. For one you NEED to scrub some stains. You can't just leave the residue from puke on your carpet. It has to be cleaned off completely before spraying anything on it to help with odors. I also have the four cats and a dog and we live in a tiny place. I can't just stand there and wait for it to dry. I am afraid the animals will lick it or step in it and then lick their paws.

The Carpet Cleaner does help with odors in the carpet too. I'm not sure in this case I needed that. I have yet to have anyone throw anything up that smelled. If the dog pooped on the carpet, then most certainly I'd need something to eliminate the odor.  The carpet cleaner also has the same "wood" like scent.

Over all I am happy with the Clean + Green Litter Box Cleaner. It works well. As for the Carpet Cleaner, I guess I need more then one event to test it out on. My concern with the Carpet Cleaner is waiting for it to dry. That is not a huge issue, but when you are busy sitting around watching the carpet dry is not exactly an ideal thing to do.

I got a can of Clean + Green carpet & upholstery cleaner for cats and dogs as well as a can of furniture refresher in the mail a while back.

I've had this stain in my upstairs hallway for quite some time. I think it was a Zeb mishap from when he was allowed full reign of the house. Anyway, I decided to see if the Carpet Cleaner it might work on getting that ancient stain out.

I followed the directions on the can to the letter. I sprayed, I let it sit. I came back later and believe it or not - the spot was definitely lighter. I re-treated the stain and I have to say, this stuff is miraculous! The spot is gone.

There was another spot in our bedroom. I think I may have treated it a little too much because the carpet is now really clean - but it looks like a spot because it is so clean. My carpet is from 1986. Need I say more?

I also used the furniture refresher - it works miracles! It got the teenage boy stink out of his bedroom. Yes, I know it is for dog and cat smells, but I thought I'd give it a really tough job. It also got the dog stink out of the couch pillow... This Clean +Green Stuff is amazing!!

One problem my mom constantly has is cleaning pet stains at her house in a safe non-toxic way. I also worry because sometimes my in-laws bring over their dog and now with all the carpeting in our house, I worry about stains. Now that I have kids I also worry about chemicals in cleaning solutions, but I don’t want to sacrifice the effectiveness of the product either.

Recently, the good people at Clean + Green sent me a couple of their products to test and review. The products they sent to me were their Wood & Tile cleaner & odor eliminator and their Carpet & Upholstery cleaner & odor eliminator.

I have to admit, I was very impressed with both of these products. The Carpet & Upholstery product made removing stains and odors very easy. The Wood & Tile cleaner allowed me to clean up a stinky mess quickly and virtually eliminated all odors associated with it. What I like most about both of these products is that they not only worked great, but they also eliminated unwanted smells without leaving a perfume odor of their own. Both products are unscented so you're not covering up odors, you really are eliminating them.

The one feature I wish would be changed relates to the Carpet & Upholstery product. While it works great and gets the job done, the aerosol (non-harmful environmentally friendly) dispensing packaging means that you don't have as much control over the quantity of product you are spraying and therefore the product doesn't last as long as it could. If they could repackage this product in a manual spray bottle, it could be applied more times before becoming empty.

Overall, both products are excellent and I encourage anyone looking for natural, non-perfume odor eliminator and cleaning solutions to check out Clean + Green.

I’ve found a fabulous new way to clean up pet messes (which are frequent in our house unfortunately, especially with Benson being sick and Theodore eating so fast that he throws up). It’s the Clean and Green cleaners by SeaYu, the only environmentally friendly pet cleaning products around.

I tried both the Dog/Cat Carpet/Upholstery cleaner, which actually picked up really sunken in doggie diarrhea (sorry to be graphic but this product is amazing to get that out of creme colored carpeting), and the Dog/Cat Wood and Tile Cleaner,  which is great for picking up Theodore’s puke and scrubbing the spot after he eats too much.

Much to my surpise, this stuff even removes SKUNK ODOR – no kidding. Sashahas a bad history of messing with skunks and I used to have to give her 4-5 baths to get her to smell normal again, but not anymore. The Eliminator3 formula removes all odors. ALL odors. Unbelievable!

So not only do these products clean up the mess, they eliminate the odor quite well, too. (Which is AWESOME because who can stand the smell of an accident…?) And I’m always up for buying environmentally friendly products.

According to the manufacturer, SeaYu Enterprises, Clean+Green is the only eco-friendly aerosol pet cleaning products on the planet (tm).

I am always looking for something to spot clean the carpet (my kitty throws up a lot) and my current cleaner, which I love, is not eco-friendly. Has anyone tried this particular cleaner? I use lots of different cleaning products in my home on a daily basis. Just recently I began trying to integrate green cleaning supplies in my stockpile. According to the Environmental Protection Association (EPA), typical household cleaning products and air fresheners are one of the leading contributors to poor indoor air quality. The agency reports that poor indoor air quality can lead to health issues that manifest soon after exposure or, possibly, years later.

As a "pet mom" of a beautiful black boxer named Kobe and a fat cat named Angel I know how important it is to clean up those little messes as soon as they happen. When my dog was a puppy, he liked to go to the bathroom NEXT to the puppy pads...sigh. I can't even begin to imagine all the harsh chemicals that have been sprayed, spritzed and rubbed into my carpet.

SeaYu® has recently announced the launch of Clean+Green, the only eco-friendly aerosol pet cleaning products on the planet. I was able to review the Furniture Refresher and Carpet & Upholstery spray. I first tried out the Furniture Refresher in lieu of my normal Febreeze. This product was used on Kobe's (the dog) bed, my furniture, and his cage. All I had to do was saturate (not soak) the material and let it air dry. Once dry, I noticed a big difference in the odor...especially on his dog bed since its in our room. I have been spraying everything about once a week and it usually keeps the odor at bay. This product can also safely be used on leather.

The Carpet and Upholstery spray has come in quite handy since my little fat cat is long haired, that means that those icky hairballs are always showing up on random places on my carpet. One spray to get the spot damp and then once its dry its gone. It's like magic! I love not having to break out the scrub brush. On occasion my dog will have an accident on the carpet and the spray works just as well on his urine and the smell disappears. If the odor returns after the spot you sprayed dried then the urine reached the padding. In order for the smell to go away the pad must also be treated.

Since I was so thrilled with the 2 products I reviewed I recently made my way to Wal-Mart and purchased the Litter Box
Odor Eliminator and Cleaner. I was so sick of the powder stuff I had been using so it was a refreshing change. I'll definitely continue to be a pleased customer.

Clean+Green obliterates the stink

We have all kinds of smell producers in our house-- compost, cat, dog, not-quite-potty-trained twins, a cloth-diaper-wearing baby. We clean the litter box, the trash can, the compost bucket, the diaper pails regularly, but that doesn't stop the smells from trying to take over.

I think with smells, generally, you one of two choices: 1) live with the odors and just get used to them; or 2) spray the house constantly with some odor-covering product to try and mask the scents. Baking soda may work in the fridge and in the washer, but it's messy for other application. Our trash can is clumped with it and it still reeks.

So I was happy to try Clean+green (Sea-Yu) products that were sent to me by awesome Mom blogger SAHM Reviews. They are "all natural and pet-safe" according to their packaging. I've given them the run-around here's the results:

• The Furniture Refresher isn't just for furniture and pet beds. I sprayed it directly onto the litter after scooping. Urine smell was reduced significantly. (I think Betty would agree that it worked. I am not sure if it is related, but she hasn't been avoiding me as much lately! Cats!)
• Used the Refresher in the diaper pail... sprayed in and took a big whiff. The odor was gone "on contact," as promised. These are just cheapy, $10 plastic pails from Wal-Mart that my in-laws picked up. I hate them because they don't seal, but with the odor spray that might not be such an issue any longer.
• Sprayed the Refresher into the rolling bin for our trash and inhaled. Phew... might need a couple applications there! The instructions didn't say it would work for garbage pails, but I like all-purpose products when I can get them. I'll keep trying it again.

Clean+green sent me a "Carpet and Upholestery" spray as well that has the same ingredients -- cane sugar derivatives, botanical extracts and hydrated cellulose, along with water and a nitrogen propellant for the canister. I'm not sure what the difference is between the products except the upholstery products claims to "remove stains" as well. So far, no we haven't had any yucky pet stains to clean up (we don't have much carpet), but I might try it on the oil spot on my comforter.

So lately I have been really going green more and more. Now what better way to go green than cleaning supplies? With us being a normal family with 6 kids and pets the house is not always great smelling and we are not getting rid of any family members to fix this problem though we thought about it lol! Well Clean + Green is here to save the day!

We got to test out the Carpet Upholstery Odor Eliminator, Cleaner & Stain Remover and the Furniture Refresher Odor Eliminator and Cleaner. I wasn't sure if they would work in our house. There are food spills, throw up spot, urine spots and who knows what else is in our carpets. I have steamed cleaned the carpets but if you get down on the floor they still stink. So I took these product out and really tested them. I sprayed my carpet in the living room according to the direction and waited for them to air dry. No scrubbing nothing.

My initial thought was I wasn't sure about the scent and if my carpet smell like that afterwards I'm not gonna like it. I was also think how long is this gonna take to dry since this is a high traffic area. Well I was shocked within 10 minutes the carpet was dry and didn't have the scent i didn't like. Now to get down on my stomach lay out and sniff the carpet nose to carpet, very close up. Was the odor and stink still there??? No they were gone completely gone! Even the dusty smell was gone! No more urine smells, throw up smells, and poop smells yay!!!

Next I tried my husbands red chair that we got from his grandpa after he passed. I was hesitate on them because these are old and i didn't want this to mess up the color on them since they are a memory piece. I tested on a spot to make sure and it was fine. Now these chair must be like 50 or 60 years old and who know the last time they have been cleaned and there were cats and dogs on them and who knows what else. I have vacuumed them and wiped them down but the dusty yucky odor still sticks to them. After Clean + Green they were refreshed and smell clean! I love it!
