Have you ever just been in the car and just got a whiff of skunk when the window was rolled down? or just been out walking and suddenly your nose detects that a skunk sprayed nearby? I have and I am so glad that I can leave the area (and the skunk smell)!
Well, I wasn’t so lucky yesterday when my son came through the garage with Simon, and suddenly there was that awful skunk smell! I quickly grabbed Simon’s collar to prevent him from entering the house. Checked him out — no skunk on Simon; PHEW! But still, there was that awful skunk stink in the garage.
Well…. I found out that the skunk smell had come through the vents on the side of the house. There must have been a skunk that sprayed next door at my neighbors, and unfortunately, the wind had blown it into the house through the garage.
I grabbed a can of Clean+Green Furniture Refresher and went to town (the Clean+Green DeSkunk is for the dog, not the house and has the wrong applicator). I sprayed the garage and the room next to the garage. After I got rid of the smell, I sprayed down my clothes. It was only after I got rid of ALL of the skunk smell that I opened the door into the house!
I thought Simon and I were safe as long as we did not directly tangle with a skunk; foolish me. Now I know better after being “skunked from the outside”.
